Formed in 1950 at the inaugural meeting of ICOM, the Comité International pour la Documentation (CIDOC) has a long tradition of offering training workshops and seminars. CIDOC's membership is truly international – a community of documentation specialists from more than 70 countries. This collective expertise and experience puts CIDOC in a unique position to provide training in museum documentation in a wide range of languages.

Museum of Texas Tech University

The Museum of Texas Tech University (MoTTU), was founded in 1929. It is both an integral research component of Texas Tech University and a community museum, with around 200,000 annual visitors. The extensive collections cover Anthropology, Art, Palaeontology, Ethnology and Textiles, History and the Natural Sciences.

The Museum offers Master’s programmes in Museum Science and Heritage Management. Teaching takes place in the Museum galleries, collections, and classrooms providing both theoretical and practical hands-on training. Museum Science faculty members all have joint staff appointments in the Museum.
