Prerequisites and responsibilities

Modules are classified according to level of difficulty, 100, 200, and 300 level, etc. There are no prerequisites for introductory courses. Students do not have to be members of CIDOC. Course expectations include: class preparation - reading all materials in advance; attendance and participation in discussions and in-class assignments, accurate, timely completion and submission of course assignments; and adherence to accepted standards in written assignments. Participants will be treated with respect and are expected to act accordingly. Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour in the classroom (making phone calls, checking emails, etc.), is not acceptable. Eating, drinking, and using tobacco are not permitted during class times or within the Museum building at any time. Students will have the opportunity to provide evaluation of both the tuition and the support material at the end of each module, helping us to improve the Summer School from year to year.

Cancellation and refund policy

All cancellations must be made in writing. If a cancellation is received by July 15th 2018, the registration fee will be refunded with the exception of a cancellation fee of 25 CHF. No refunds can be made for cancellations received after this date. Registrations can be transferred to a colleague or postponed to the following year without any charge.

CIDOC Training reserves the right to cancel the event in whole or in part, and to refuse any registration, due to force majeure or other circumstances that would make the event non-viable. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be informed immediately and will be offered a full refund of their registration payment. Claims for further liabilities or damages are excluded.
